Hi, I’m Han!

I came into Interaction & UI/UX design through fashion design.
Specifically, vintage. The kind where you pick up a jacket and immediately want to know its whole story.
That obsession with why things are made the way they are is what eventually pulled me into product design!
From Fashion
At Banana Republic, I needed to know what customers actually felt when they tried something on, so after my 9-to-5 as a menswear designer at HQ, I'd go downstairs and work the floor as a in-store stylist. If I have a question, I have to answer it. That's just how I'm wired.
Through Nature
When I'm not working, I'm usually hunting for a new campsite around San Jose. I've hit nearly all of them. I go to nature when I need to step back, not to escape, but to see more clearly. There's something about returning to where we all came from that helps me reconnect with myself. When I want to understand who I am more deeply, that's where I go. I always come back with fresh eyes.
To Communities
That same curiosity drives how I design. I go deep, sit with the data, and don't move on until I find the why. And I've learned that the best ideas rarely come alone. I show up as a Student Representative and Figma Campus Leader, join hackathons, design communities and keep finding my way back to the people. People are always part of the design.
